The Strategic Plan was discussed during the Council Retreat on January 20, 2018.

Purpose & Explanation

The City’s Strategic Plan is periodically reviewed and updated.  The following provides an overview of past and present categories and objectives:  

Major Categories (2012-2017):

1.                     Vibrant and Connected Community

2.                     Economic Development

3.                     Public Service Improvements

Objectives (2012-2017):

A.                     Initiate Phase 2 of Downtown

B.                     Plan and design for Municipal Services Center and Public Works Facilities

C.                     Implement Velocity Broadband

D.                     Economic development

E.                     Initiate continuous improvement for City operations within each department

F.                     Initiate Land Development Code rewrite

G.                     Begin planning for use of former Youth Development Center properties

Major Categories (2018-2019)

1.                     Complete Downtown Phase 2 (multi-year)

2.                     Finalize new City administration building

3.                     Construct Public Works building

4.                     Economic development (on-going)

5.                     Finalize Land Development Code rewrite

6.                     Finalize strategic plan for former Youth Development Center properties
