Purpose & Explanation
Annually the Hudson Public Power Division (HPP) contracts for the performance of preventative maintenance and inspections on one of the five distribution substations located in the City. In 2018, this contract will cover maintenance activities at the Seasons Road Substation. The preventative maintenance tasks include: infrared scan of all structures for loose connections, timing and calibration of all feeder breakers, as well as the 69KV breaker, structure inspections, relay testing and certification. The annual budget for this contract is $50,000. The Department of Public Works received four (4) qualified bids for this year's contract. A bid tabulation is attached for review.
Timing Considerations
Upon City Council approval, the Public Works staff will award the substation contract. Work will be completed within one (1) year of award of contract.
