Resolution No. 16-100, authorizing the City to purchase renewable energy certificates and to offer Hudson Public Power customers the option to participate in AMP’s EcoSmart Choice Program, passed July 19, 2016.

Purpose & Explanation

On February 27, 2018, AMP awarded and the City Manager’s designee accepted 2017 Sustainability Grant funding in the amount of $619.00.  Staff seeks to use the EcoSmart Choice grant funding for energy and environmental education for Hudson Public Power customers. Energy-efficient items will be purchased for giveways.

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that Council affirm staff’s acceptance of EcoSmart Choice grant funding from American Municipal Power for energy and environmental education materials.
