Brief Description: A permanent easement is needed for the construction and maintenance of a new 12-inch waterline on Ohio Edison property and a pipeline occupancy agreement is needed in order to connect the new 12-inch waterline with the existing 12-inch waterline at the Metro Regional Transit Authority (RTA) tracks.

Purpose & Explanation
The Hudson Drive Waterline Installation Project will consist of the installation of up to 4,505 lineal feet of new 12"watermain that will run along Hudson Drive and connect into an existing water main at the Metro RTA Railroad tracks under the bike and hike trail.
The Ohio Edison easement is being purchased for the construction and future maintenance of the new 12-inch waterline on Ohio Edison property (Summit Metroparks Hike & Bike Trail) as shown on the attached exhibit. One (1) permanent, 20-foot wide easement (total area is 0.807 acres) is being purchased for the construction and maintenance of the new 12-inch waterline that will service the Hudson Drive and Hudson Gate Drive area.
The total cost of the Ohio Edison easement is $24,210.00 which is based upon a cost, established by the Ohio Edison Company, of $30,000/acre (0.807 acres x $30,000/acre = $24,210.00).
The pipeline occupancy agreement is needed in order to install and maintain a new 12-inch waterline as part of the Hudson Drive Waterline Installation Project within the Metro RTA property.
