Legislative History
Ordinance No. 19-153, adoption of the 2020 Budget, passed on November 19, 2019.
Purpose & Explanation
As discussed during the budget meetings last year, the Police Department would like to purchase three vehicles which are replacement cruisers for three (3) 2017 Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles. The three requested cruiser replacements are in line with Fleet Department's recommendations for replacement.
The pricing for these replacement cruisers fall under Ohio State Contract RS901620 (New, Model Year 2020 or Manufacturer's Current Production Model - Law Enforcement Vehicles - effective through 9/30/2020) which was awarded to Cincy Autos Inc. DBA Lebanon Ford to supply the state of Ohio and political subdivisions with 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles. The Ohio STS pricing was again lower than other cooperative purchasing programs (GSA, CUE) for these law enforcement specific vehicles.
Vehicle #2 has 63,000 miles, and #4 has 68,000 miles. Vehicle #6 has 85,000 miles. All three vehicles are in use and are expected to exceed the 100,000-mile mark by their scheduled removal from police patrol service this fall.
The total cost for these three replacement vehicles is $105,798.60 (3 @$35,266.20). We have $108,000.00 budgeted for 2020. These vehicles will be the same hybrid replacement vehicles ordered in 2019 by police.
