Title
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR COMPETITIVE BIDS AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE BLACKBERRY DRIVE BRIDGE WINGWALL REPAIR PROJECT.
Brief Description: The project will include the repair of the peeling concrete sealer on the Blackberry Drive Bridge Wingwalls.
Body
Legislative History
None.
Purpose & Explanation
The project includes the installation of proper drainage behind the four wingwalls at the Blackberry Drive bridge. The project also includes the removal of the existing wingwall cement surface, re-application of a new cement skim coat, re-sealing and all site restoration. A location map has been attached for reference.

The Blackberry Drive Bridge rehabilitation project was finished in 2016. In May 2018, the City became aware that the sealer and skim coat that was placed on the wingwalls was peeling and flaking off. Engineering has reviewed the condition with a local engineering consultant and determined the method to repair the issue. The project is being designed in-house and is now 75% complete. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the Summer of 2020.

The estimated project cost of construction plus 10% contingency is $95,000.
