A Motion Directing the Clerk to Send Notice to the Ohio Division of Liquor Control Indicating No Request for a Hearing Regarding the Transfer of a Permit to Sell Alcoholic Beverages from Peachtree Southern Kitchen & Cocktails to LG Square Inc. Brief Description:   The Clerk is in receipt of a Notice to Legislative Authority dated March 4, 2020, from the Ohio Division of Liquor Control concerning the opportunity for City Council to request a hearing regarding this permit transfer.

Purpose & Explanation

A criminal history search of City records was performed using information provided in separate correspondence to the Hudson Police Department, which included the name and Social Security number of the Chief Executive Officer.  No records were found.

The Notice to Legislative Authority is attached, and the Permit is for the following Classes:

                     D5I - for Restaurant/Night Club (ORC 4303.181 Restaurant meeting certain criteria).

                     D6 - for Sunday Sales (ORC 4303.182 Sale of intoxicating liquor on Sunday between the hours 10:00am or 11:00am and midnight).

Timing Considerations

The Clerk of Council must respond to the Ohio Division of Liquor Control no later than April 6, 2020, with City Council’s decision concerning a request for a hearing.
