Purpose & Explanation
The current City Solicitor has submitted his resignation to the City Manager. To ensure continuity of legal services for the City, the City Manager would like to appoint long-time legal advisor (and past City Solicitor) of the City of Hudson, R. Todd Hunt of Walter|Havefield LLP, as the City's interim City Solicitor while the City conducts a search for the next City Solicitor. For his services as interim City Solicitor, Todd Hunt will be compensated pursuant to his current Special Counsel contract with the City of Hudson. Pursuant to Charter Section 8.03, a majority of City Council members must concur with the City Manager's recommendation to appoint an individual to act as the City Solicitor.
