The grant could provide up to approximately $20,000 to fund additional secured key boxes and carbon monoxide detectors to distribute to at-risk over 65 residents living in their own homes in Hudson. A 5% match of approximately $1,000 is required. The grant deadline is March 31, 2023.
The Fire Safe Seniors program has provided over 820 smoke detectors, over 240 carbon monoxide detectors and over 250 secure key boxes to Hudson residents age 65 and over living in their own homes. The objective of the Fire Safe Seniors program is to improve the health and safety of these residents, while reducing their risk of fire and carbon monoxide related injury and death.
