Brief Description: Mayor Anzevino and City Council will continue to discuss a new City flag.  Kent State University School of Visual Communication Design have submitted flag designs for City Council consideration.

Body

Legislative History

CO Section 204.01 establishing an official City of Hudson Flag

Section 204.01 was repealed by Ordinance No. 17-46, passed April 4, 2017

Purpose & Explanation

Following an online community vote, staff had provided new City flag design options for consideration at the December 12, 2023, meeting.  At the conclusion of the discussion City Council recommended that staff perhaps ask the schools or local Universities to participate in looking at creating design options for a new City of Hudson flag.  As such, Staff contacted Kent State University’s School of Visual Communication Design, which indicated an interest in the project.  Staff and Mayor Anzevino met with KSU staff and students to explain the project and we have final flag design options created by the students to review with City Council.
