Brief Description:  This code amendment was first discussed at the January 9, 2024, workshop. Purpose & Explanation

The Hudson troop organizations of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the United States of American, have requested the City exempt them from City rental space fees.  The organizations are currently able to rent meeting space at both the City Hall Community Rooms and the Barlow Community Center.  The 2023 rental revenue from both organizations was $675.00.

At the January 9, 2024, Council Workshop, the Council requested that the legislation be reviewed as the language needed to be modified and simplified. City Council President Chris Foster and the City Solicitor have collaborated on the legislation language and an updated version has been attached for review.
