19-91 1A. ResolutionA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE SKATEPARK AT VETERANS WAY PARK AND AFFIRMING THE CITY MANAGER’S ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION FOR THIS PROJECT. Brief Description: The original construction estimate for the Skatepark Renovation Project was $250,000. After considerable input by local and regional skaters, the recommendation of the designer is to enlarge the park’s footprint by 2,500 square feet for safety and improved functionality. The cost to enlarge the project’s footprint is $125,000.00. The Public Works Department has also received a grant for this improvement from the Vans Shoe Company in the amount of $50,000. As such, the additional cost to the parks to meet the requests of the skatepark users and the design team is $75,000.
