Brief Description:  This ordinance allows for the financing of the installation of a new 12-inch watermain along Hudson Drive, Hudson Gate Drive, and connection to the existing 12-inch watermain at the Metro RTA railroad tracks water line as previously approved by City Council.

Purpose & Explanation

The purpose of the project was to support future economic development along Hudson Drive and Hudson Gate Drive and for the future expansion of the Hudson water distribution system.  The project, designed in-house, included the installation of approximately 3,200 feet of new 12” water main which was installed by horizontal directional drilling in order to minimize disturbance to the hike and bike trail and Hudson Drive.
