Purpose & Explanation

Staff is seeking funding from the Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency through a Fire Prevention & Safety Program Grant to fund the continuation of the Fire Safe Seniors program previously created through a Fire Prevention & Safety Grant. The grant could provide up to approximately $47,000 to fund additional secured key boxes and carbon monoxide detectors to distribute to at-risk over 65 residents living in their own homes in Hudson.  A 5% match of approximately $2,300 is required.  The grant deadline was March 29, 2020.
