Purpose & Explanation
The purpose of this contract is to renew an existing services contract and continue un-interrupted delivery of data services to Velocity Broadband customers. Crown Castle is the primary bandwidth provider to Velocity Broadband, and services also include the direct assignment of 254 IP addresses. The total value of this three-year contract is $103,680, which includes a $320 per month rate reduction over the current rate while still maintaining the 2Gig bandwidth level. The new monthly rate of $2,880 is below the state term vendor pricing for such service as listed on Ohio DAS MSA0004.
Timing Considerations
Upon authorization to proceed by the City Council, the administration will renew the existing contract with Crown Castle Fiber Networks, LLC.
