Body
Legislative History
Resolution No. 15-78, granting permission to obtain ISP pricing for the broadband project, was passed by City Council on June 2, 2015.
Purpose & Explanation
Staff has reviewed two (2) proposals for provision of internet services for the broadband project. One of the providers, One Community, is currently under state of Ohio term contract with the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) for these services. However, Fiber Technologies, LLC is offering the same services at a lower price with the ability to deliver services to the City in a much shorter time frame.
The City is permitted to seek contract pricing that may meet or beat state terms contracts for various goods and services. Therefore, staff recommends Fiber technologies LLC as the lowest and best bidder for ISP services. A price chart comparison has been attached for review.
Timing Considerations
Staff requests emergency legislation to expedite the execution of the contract.

Recommendation
Suggested Action
Staff recommends that City Council approve this Resolution authorizing the City Manager to award and enter into a three (3) year contract agreement for internet services with Fiber Technologies, LLC in the amount of $40,050.00 with a 10% contingency for unknowns for a not to exceed three (3) year amount of $44,055.00
