Purpose & Explanation
Over the past several months, Magellan Consultants and City staff have been developing the City's Broadband Project Pilot Program. Staff is now prepared to secure continued professional services for Magellan Consultants, develop RFP's for project implementation goods and services, and procure the necessary materials and equipment to begin implementing Phase I of the Broadband Project.
Attached is a detailed cost sheet for your review indicating the items needed to move Phase I of the project forward.
Timing Considerations
Staff requests emergency legislation to expedite the approval process allowing procurement to be accomplished as soon as possible.
