Purpose & Explanation

The City Council requested staff review and provide various unfunded capital improvement projects including connectivity, storm water maintenance, and adaptive signals for the anticipated revenues above the 40% budget carryover. 

Staff has attached several summary tables with various options for City Council to review and discussion with staff.

Timing Considerations

Staff is recommending City Council finalize the funds in the 1st quarter of 2021 following the close-out of the 2020 fiscal year. Following City Council approval, the City Staff will implement the final Connectivity Plan for acceptance and staff will implement this plan into the five-year budget.

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that City Council determine the funding for the Connectivity Plan in the 1st quarter of 2021, allowing the implementation levels to be incorporated into the five-year capital plan.
