Purpose & Explanation

This is a request to submit an application to AMATS for Federal CMAQ funding assistance for the Downtown Adaptive Signals System with a Total Estimated Project Cost of $2,986,174.   The CMAQ grant request will be in the amount of $2,316,939 (80% x $2,896,174 = $2,316,939). 

The City of Hudson is responsible for any additional design, right-of-way acquisition & construction cost.

If awarded, the construction of the remaining design of the project is anticipated in 2023-2024 and construction in 2026. 

Timing Considerations

The City will apply for CMAQ funding, and we will determine if we received funding in late 2021.

Staff recommends that City Council approve this legislation authorizing the City to apply for the Federal Funding with AMATS for the above project.
