Legislative History
On March 16, 2015 the Park Board made a recommendation that City Council authorize the City Manager to submit a grant application to the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition.
Purpose & Explanation
The Parks Department currently has $80,000 budgeted for Design and Engineering of Phase II of the Veterans Trail project and wishes to apply for grant funding of $7500.00.  The Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition requires a City Council Resolution authorizing and permitting the submission of the grant application
Timing Considerations
The grant application is due on May 15, 2015, and awards will be announced prior to July 1, 2015.  All eligible projects must be completed within one year.

The Park Board recommends that City Council authorize the City Manager to submit a grant application to the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition for potential grant funding of up to $7500.00 to be allocated to the design and engineering of Phase II of Veterans Trail.
