Executive Summary: The Public Works Department wishes to renew a current contract with M.A.T. Cleaning Service for general cleaning services for City offices and public buildings. Per the contract language the City has the ability to renew and extend the two (2) year contract for an additional two (2) years if performance has been acceptable and pricing remains reasonable.

Purpose & Explanation
The City of Hudson has historically bid out cleaning/housekeeping services. This service contract is a two (2) year contract with the option of a two year renewal provided the service is acceptable and the pricing remains reasonable. The Public Works Department has been very pleased with the performance of M.A. T services. The two (2) year contract renewal pricing submitted by M.A.T. Cleaning services is $86,382.64 representing a 0.18% decrease from the current contract pricing of $86,542.64. A bid tabulation has been included for review.

Staff recommends City Council pass a resolution allowing the City Manager to renew the current service contract with M.A.T. Cleaning Services, 752 Grand Rapids Blvd., Naples, Florida 34120, for a two (2) year term at the renewal bid price of $86,382.64 with a 15% contingency for unknowns and add-on services for a not to exceed total of $99,340.04 per year.
