Legislative History

Resolution No. 15-78 authorizing the City Manager to solicit proposals for goods and services related the City broadband project.

Purpose & Explanation

The City’s IS Department has received one (1) RFP Submittal for wholesale VOIP services (Phone) as related to the City broadband project.  Following bid review staff is recommending the contract be awarded to Momentum Telecommunications.

As this contract service is directly related to customer base and voice service package purchases, the contract amount may begin to approach the $25,000 threshold as the customer base increases.  Therefore, staff seeks City Council approval to execute the contract agreement accordingly.

Upon authorization to proceed by the City Council and contract review by the City Solicitor, City administration will award and enter into a contract with Momentum Telecommunications for VOIP services for a contact term of thirty-six (36) months.
