Purpose & Explanation
Staff received three (3) submittals in response to the bus garage / salt dome relocation project RFP. The initial professional services will include project limit soils analysis, needs assessments, preliminary designs, and project costs development. Submitted bids are as follows:
1. Environmental Design Group (EDG)... $47,355
2. Pelligra Architects.......................... $93,250
3. GPD Group....................................... $171,450

The relocation project team has conducted interviews with all three (3) bidders and has contacted the lowest bidder to confirm RFP understanding and has determined that Environmental Design Group is the lowest and best bidder.
Timing Considerations
The project team requests emergency legislation to expedite this work as it is associated with the Phase II downtown development project.
