Legislative History

On March 16, 2015 the Park Board made a recommendation that City Council authorize the City Manager to submit a grant application to the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition.

With passage of Resolution No. 15-53 on April 21, 2015, City Council authorized the City Manager to apply for grant funding from the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition for design and engineering of Phase II of Veterans Trail and declared an emergency.

Purpose & Explanation

The Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition grant committee met on August 13 and awarded a $5,000 grant towards the Veterans Trail project for design and engineering.

The project must be completed in one year.

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that City Council authorize the City Manager to accept grant funding of $5,000 from the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition to be allocated to the design and engineering of Phase II of Veterans Trail.
