Res. 13-150 - Apply for funds for Veterans Trail Phase I (Veterans Way to Barlow Rd)
Purpose & Explanation
This is a request to submit the following applications to AMATS for Federal Funding assistance for the following projects:
Existing/Proposed TAP Projects:
1. Veterans Way Trail, Phase One (Existing TAP Project - Requesting Additional funding)
2. Darrow Road (SR 91) Sidewalk Project
3. W. Streetsboro Road (SR 303) Sidewalk Project
4. Boston Mills Road Trail Connector Project
For the various project listed, the engineering, right-of-way acquisition and construction cost funding will be split 80%/20% (Federal/City) with a max. federal cap of $700,000. (See cost summary attached).
Timing Considerations
Following the approval of City Council, this legislation will be submitted to AMATS with the individual project applications. If any of these projects are approved for funding by AMATS, they will be funded based on the available funds.

Staff recommends that City Council approve this legislation authorizing the City to apply for the Federal Funding with AMATS for the above Program.
