In 2013 Council issued a bond in the amount of $5,000,000 for the purpose of improving City Streets.  Of the $5,000,000.00, there is $104,739.06 remaining.  City staff would like to use this money to add additional resurfacing roads from the alternate list to the 2016 Asphalt Resurfacing contract with Ronyak Paving, Inc.

Upon authorization to proceed by the City Council, the administration will issue a Change Order to the contract with Ronyak Paving, Inc.

Fiscal Impact

                       Currently Budgeted

                     X                       Supplemental Appropriation Required (445 fund - $100,927.06)

                       Appropriation Not Required.

Recommendation

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that City Council approve this Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a change order to the 2016 Asphalt Resurfacing Program, and we are requesting an emergency clause be added to this legislation in order to maintain the public health and welfare.
