Resolution No.15-196 - Permission to seek Brine Well Project proposals, passed December 15, 2015.
Purpose & Explanation
The ODNR permit for the brine well has been secured and the design RFQ's have been received and reviewed. Two (2) project design and management proposals were submitted by ALL Consulting and Burgess & Niple (B&N). Both companies are qualified, and B&N has submitted the lowest and best proposal for this project.
Proposals for full project design, specifications, bid documents and construction management services are as follows:

1. ALL Consulting Base - $161,848.06 + contingency 10% = $178.033
2. Burgess & Niple Base - $150,790.00 + contingency 10% = $165,869

B&N is a local consultant company and has provided engineering design and project management services for the City of Hudson for many projects over several years. Engineering and Public Works staff have conferred with B&N staff and their drilling consultant and are confident that they possess the knowledge, background and engineering faculties to complete the project to the highest of standards. Upon completion of the project design and construction bidding process staff will return to Council with a recommendation for award of a construction contract.
