Executive Summary:  The Brine Well Project is scheduled to go out to bid in March 2018.  City Council requested staff bring the project back for discussion prior to commencing the bidding process.

Purpose & Explanation

The Brine Well Project design and approvals are nearly complete and preparations are underway to bid the project.  Per City Councils request, staff has brought the project back for further discussion before proceeding with the bidding process. 

A project summary and ROI have been attached for review.

Project cost estimates:

- Well Drilling                      $507,000

- Well Site/System Construction                     $225,000

- Brine Fill Station                     $198,000 (for snow and ice control operations)

- 10% Contingency                     $93,000
