Title

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 204.01, “CITY FLAG,” OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES.

Executive Summary:  This ordinance would repeal the Code section designating an official flag for the City of Hudson.

Body

Legislative History

Resolution No. 91-17, designating a Hudson flag, was adopted on March 4, 1991.

Purpose & Explanation

After the Hudson flag was designated in 1991, the Hudson Community Service Association assumed responsibility for orders and sales of the Hudson flag, but the organization has since discontinued this service.  Current language in Code Section 204.01 requires that a Hudson flag be flown at Town Hall.

The repeal of the subject section will remove the current flag design from Codified Ordinances Chapter 204, Official Standards.
