Legislative History
18-22 - Authorization to Advertise for bids and enter into a contract for the procurement of signal poles.
Purpose & Explanation
As part of the SUM-8-7.81 Reconstruction Project, ODOT will be installing traffic signals at the Seasons Road interchange. The City of Hudson will be purchasing the signal poles for this project with the City of Stow sharing 50% of the local cost. The cost estimate for this project is $39,000. This purchase of the signal poles by the locals was part of the agreement with ODOT and Hudson/Stow to include these improvements in their overall project. The project to rehabilitate SR 8 from Graham Road (Stow) to just north of SR 303 interchange is entirely funded by ODOT with no local match, not including this exception.

Once this Resolution is approved, City staff will have the Cooperation and Cost Sharing Agreement executed by the appropriate parties.

Recommendation
Suggested Action
Staff recommends that City Council approve the Cooperation and Cost Sharing Agreement between the City of Stow and the City of Hudson for the procurement of signal poles. We are requesting an emergency clause be added to this due to the lead time for the signal poles.
