Purpose and Explanation

This is to replace the obsolete Zetron radio equipment presently installed in the police building since it was constructed over seventeen years ago.  The new equipment replaces all the obsolete push-button radio equipment in dispatch and moves those radio resources onto easily manageable flat panel screens.  When used with the 800 MHz SCA8RRS / MARCS system, it allows for advanced features, such as the prioritization of radio traffic, patching of talk groups, announcement groups, call alerting, etc.  This solution provides (2) two MCC7500s and (1) one MCC7500E (backup) as well as implementation and warranty services needed to support them for a period of five years.  This proposal is based on and subject to the terms and conditions of Ohio State Term Schedule Contract 573077 and shall remain valid for a period of 90 days.
