Purpose and Explanation
This is to replace the 400MHZ radios and pagers currently used by Hudson Fire & Hudson EMS with 800MHZ radios and pagers in-order to allow direct radio communication with all Hudson Safety Forces. This migration to 800MHZ communications was recommended by the MCM Consulting Group, Inc. as part of their Needs Assessment and Strategic Plan conducted for the City of Hudson dated March 6, 2019. This is also part of the requirements for completing the 2020 Police/Dispatch Center upgrade project, as well as the MOU with Bath for the rollover 911 service agreement. This proposal is based on and subject to the terms, conditions, and pricing of the State Term Contract #'s 573004-0 and 534526. Vasu Communications Inc. is the vendor of choice and had the lowest of three proposal estimates for all equipment including parts, labor and installation. See attached proposal estimates.
