Resolution No. 19-162, authorizing the City Manager to enter into a Purchase Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc. for the purchase of a police/dispatch radio console system; passed November 19, 2019.

Purpose and Explanation

This is to replace the obsolete dispatch console furniture.  The current console furniture was purposely built around the old Zetron radio system in 2002.   As part of the dispatch center upgrades new radio equipment has already been approved and ordered in 2019.  The updated radio equipment will not work with the outdated/obsolete console furniture and will need to be replaced as part of this project.   This proposal is based on and subject to the terms, conditions, and pricing of The General Services Administration (GSA). Contract # GS-03F-030DA.
