Purpose & Explanation
Staff would like to introduce the concept of commencing the Comprehensive Plan update. The City Charter states the Plan shall be reviewed by the Commission for revisions every ten (10) years or more often if requested by Council. The last update process began in 2013 and was adopted in January of 2016. It may be prudent to begin now, due to current long-term community decisions begin considered.
Attached is memorandum providing additional information, a resource document of emerging trends, and Resolution No. 14-77, which established the steering committee for the 2015 Plan.
