Executive Summary:  The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has accepted the City’s request for grant funding of $2,700 for “Keep America Beautiful” affiliation application and training.

Resolution No. 15-205, authorizing the City Manager to submit a grant application to the Ohio EPA, adopted December 15, 2015.

Purpose & Explanation

Staff will utilize the grant funds to cover the training required to acquire “Keep America Beautiful” affiliation.  This affiliation will allow the City to become eligible for additional grant opportunities.  This grant requires the City to pay $300 towards the $3,000 affiliation cost.

Timing Considerations

The signed agreements must be returned to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency prior to May 18, 2016.

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that City Council authorize the City Manager to accept the 2016 Litter Management Grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.
