Legislative History

Resolution No. 14-16 - Renewal of ESRI for years 2014-2017

Resolution No. 17-16 - Renewal of ESRI for years 2018-2020

Purpose & Explanation

The City has been using ESRI to run our GIS system for over 18 years.  Our GIS system is a tremendous asset and gets extensive use by City staff and contractors, as well as the general public.  ESRI is the industry leader in GIS mapping software and the exclusive provider so there is no requirement for competitive bidding.

The price they have offered is the same as it’s been for the past six years.  This agreement allows for an unlimited number of users which saves at least $15,000 per year versus purchasing individual licenses.  Purchasing an unlimited number of licenses gives all staff the ability to access the information.

We have attached the quote that gives further details.
