Purpose & Explanation
The project will include the installation of concrete sidewalk on Parkside Drive from the intersection of Stow Road to Blue Heron Drive with work including:  sidewalk, storm piping, driveway replacements, ADA handicap ramps, grading, striping and crosswalks. The project will be bid in March, 2015 and construction will begin following award after school lets out in June, 2015.
Timing Considerations
Following the approval of this Resolution by the City Council, the Engineering Department will advertise in the local newspaper and receive bids for the project.  Following the bid opening we will return to City Council to award the contract to the lowest and best bidder.

Recommendation
Suggested Action
Staff recommends that City Council approve this authorization for the City Manager to advertise and receive bids for the SRTS Project.  We are requesting an emergency clause be added to this project in order to protect the public welfare and safety and to maintain the schedule with ODOT.
