Purpose & Explanation
At the November 10, 2020 City Council Workshop, Staff reviewed the February 2018 Public Works Facility Presentation and Analysis. The discussion covered review of the following items:
1. Review of the story map showing the properties analysis and land values for various City properties considered for locating a new Public Works Facility.
2. Review of a matrix determining which property(s) would likely be good fits to locate a new facility.
3. A quick review of potentially locating a portion of the Public Works operations on the grounds of the current City Hall.
4. The potential purchase of three Georgetown Road Properties for Service Division operations.
Staff was asked to look further into item number 4 and determine if the Service operation could be functional at this location and if so, what would be the estimated costs to complete the required renovations and improvements.
