Brief Description: This project includes the installation of new trees and landscaping, at the request of the Ingleside Drive residents, to restore the setting of the properties due to the removal of trees and vegetation as part of the Ingleside Drive Bridge Replacement Project.

Purpose & Explanation
Due to tree and vegetation removal for Ingleside Drive Bridge Replacement project, residents requested that new trees and landscaping be provided after the bridge construction to restore the setting of their properties. See photo attached of trees abutting bridge location prior to project tree clearing taking place. Engineering included the landscape work as an alternate in the bid for the bridge project with an estimated cost of $46,100. The construction bids for the bridge replacement project came in 7% over the engineer’s estimate and the landscape alternate was not included in the award to the bridge contractor. The landscape work will need bid out as a separate project this summer for construction in the fall, 2021.
The engineer’s estimate is $50,000.00, which includes a 10% contingency amount.
