A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AMENDED LOCAL PUBLIC AGENCY AGREEMENTS AND FUNDING COMMITMENTS WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR SPECIFIED PROJECTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Executive Summary: The following LPA Projects have received additional Federal funding from the Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study (AMATS) in the 2013-14 round of funding request and will require the LPA to endorse the amended agreement and assume 20% of the local match, including any cost overruns. ODOT will match 80% (maximum) of the eligible right of way and construction costs for the following State Transportation Project (STP) projects:

Purpose & Explanation
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has a program that allows the LPA to administer projects that use federal funding vs. utilizing ODOT for this administration. The process requires the LPA (the City of Hudson) to enter into an agreement with ODOT defining the LPA responsibility. The LPA process allows for more local control in terms of design, cost and schedule of the project.
